
Allen’s No-Hitter Highlights Liberty’s Doubleheader Sweep of Missouri State

Missouri State won game one of the series last night, 2-0. Liberty then outscored the Bears 15-1 today.

- Liberty led 2-0 before breaking the game wide open with a four-run sixth inning. Dani Lee (RBI single), Paige Doerr (base loaded walk) and Brynn McManus (two-run single) provided the RBI in the sixth.
- Abigail Findlay entered the circle in relief of Camden Anders in the seventh. Despite giving up a solo home run, Findlay fanned three batters to end the game.
- Liberty outhit Missouri State 9-6 for the game, with the Bears recording the game's lone error. Both teams stranded seven runners.
- Camden Anders (9-3) improved to 6-0 in CUSA games with the win, allowing four hits, walking one and striking out eight in six shutout innings. Abigail Findlay yielded one run on two hits, fanning three.
- Paityn Engemann (1-4) drew the loss, allowing one unearned run in two innings as the starter before giving way to Brylee Brewster (3 IP) and Makenzi Swick (2 IP).
- Brynn McManus went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while Alexia Carrasquillo batted 3-for-4 with a homer, one RBI and two runs scored. Dani Lee went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run. Savanah Whatley went 1-for-2 with two runs scored.
- Elizabeth Bobbitt homered for Missouri State's lone run.
- Abigail Findlay pitched a three-strikeout seventh inning, joining Danner Allen and Gabby Mike as Lady Flames who have posted a three-strikeout inning this season.
- McManus reached 100 career RBI with her three RBI in game one. She is the 15th player in the program's NCAA Division I era with 100 or more career RBI.
- Carrasquillo posted her fourth career three-hit contest.
- Prior to striking out eight batters today, Anders' single-game career high for strikeouts was six, set March 14 at Middle Tennessee.

- Liberty used a four-run fourth inning to build a 5-0 lead and chase starter Emily Koranda.
- Brynn McManus made a diving catch in right field to end the fourth inning, keeping Allen's no-hitter alive.
- Allen struck out pinch hitter Nicole Norman for the final out, capping the five-inning no-hitter.

The Lady Flames return home for their next five games, beginning with a 3 p.m. contest against nationally-ranked Duke, Wednesday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium. Duke was ranked as high as No. 18 this week.
