Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Growing up, my dad prioritized religious values such as respecting your parents and seeking first the kingdom of God, trusting that all things would be added unto you. These values became an important aspect of my life. During my recruiting process, I initially chose Duke because the coaching staff portrayed an image of following the ways of the Lord. However, as my journey at that university continued, I realized that was not where I was meant to be. During a game against Liberty, I noticed that their team played with unity, respect, and love for one another. This inspired me to reflect on the kind of teammate I wanted to be, one who is part of a God-driven culture. After I left Duke, and Liberty was one of the first teams to reach out, I knew that was where God wanted me to be. I chose Liberty because they, and more importantly Jesus, chose me.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I usually just have a meal and listen to music.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom and dad are inspirations because they drive me to be the best version of myself. My brothers and sister motivate me because they look up to me.
