Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The beautiful campus and facilities, the strong coaching staff, and the incorporation of God into everything the school offers.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Pregame, I like to pray and read my Bible. I try to focus on God and get my mind on Him because he gave me the privilege to play this sport. Postgame, I pray again and thank God for the opportunity to play the sport I love.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
Both my parents inspire me greatly. They’ve sacrificed so much for me to be able to play at this level and they represent the Lord in everything that they do. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
In May 2024, I was up to bat with the bases loaded in the finals of a Canadian tournament. It was the top of the 7th with one out. I had been in a hitting slump, already striking out three times that game. Before stepping up to the plate, I said a quick prayer and surrendered the at-bat to God. With two strikes and my team down 2-0, I hit a base-clearing triple to right field. My sister then followed suit with a sacrifice fly to bring me home. I then pitched in the bottom of the 7th to close the game, securing a 4-2 win and giving God all the glory for that incredible moment!
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
My number, 1, represents the One I play for and the one reason I play: to glorify God.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
I love dinner, and my favorite meal is either a Cobb salad from Chick-fil-A or a medium steak with a Greek salad.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Email
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love reading and singing (not at the same time though).
What is your go-to karaoke song?
