Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty felt like the right place for me because it aligns perfectly with both my faith and my goals as an athlete. The environment fosters growth not just in athletics, but also in every area of life. I truly believe it’s a place where I can thrive, be challenged, and be part of something greater than myself.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Pregame, I always take a moment to pray. It helps me center and remind myself who I’m playing for. Postgame, I reflect on how I did and what I can do to improve, but I try to end by showing gratitude, win or lose, because every game is a gift.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My grandparents have been my biggest inspiration. My grandfather, who has passed away, was always my loudest cheerleader. He believed in me and my place in this sport, and I still carry his encouragement with me every time I compete. My grandmother is the reason I am the athlete I am today. She took me to every pitching lesson until I could drive myself. Her sacrifice, support, and constant push to chase my goals shaped who I am both on and off the field.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
One of my most memorable athletic moments was committing to playing D1 softball. It was the result of years of hard work, setbacks, and growth. That moment reminded me that every practice, each challenge, and all the effort was worth it. It gave me the chance to keep doing what I love at the highest level.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
When I was younger, I always looked up to my older sister in sports. She wore number 2, so I chose number 22 to follow in her footsteps. That number reminds me of her and the inspiration she’s been in my athletic journey.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
