LYNCHBURG, Va. - Coming off of a thrilling 10-9 win at No. 13 Virginia Tech, Liberty (23-23, 15-6 CUSA) plays host to Louisiana Tech (23-23, 9-12), Friday through Sunday.

- The Lady Flames are tied with Western Kentucky for second in CUSA standings, with Liberty holding the head-to-head tiebreaker. Meanwhile, Louisiana Tech is eighth at 9-12.
- Liberty has won each of its last two games in dramatic fashion. The Lady Flames overcame a 6-5 deficit with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, getting a go-ahead two-run single from Dani Lee and a save by Camden Anders to seal the series victory on Sunday. Liberty then built a 10-4 lead over Virginia Tech on Wednesday before holding off a five-run Hokie rally in the seventh inning and winning 10-9.
- Louisiana Tech was picked to finish second behind Liberty in the CUSA Preseason Coaches Poll this season. Reagan Marchant was the CUSA Preseason Player of the Year and Allie Floyd was voted CUSA Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
- The Lady Flames are 9-0 against Louisiana Tech since joining CUSA, including 5-0 last year. Liberty posted three comeback wins in the regular-season series at LA Tech last year, before topping the Bulldogs twice at the 2025 CUSA Softball Championship.
- Maci Strickland was named CUSA Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, on Monday. She batted .385 with a double, homer and four RBI in four games last week. Strickland carried a six-game hitting streak into this week. She went 0-for-1 with three walks on Wednesday at Virginia Tech.
- Four Lady Flames hit .300 or better, led by freshman Dani Lee, who bats .360 with two homers and 13 RBI. Alexia Carrasquillo (.331) leads the Lady Flames in both homers (10) and RBI (38). Ella Fox (.318) is the team leader in runs (32) and stolen bases (9). Savannah Jessee (.309) has registered seven homers and 27 RBI, while Brynn McManus (.294) has posted seven homers and 30 RBI.
- The Liberty pitching staff has recorded five shutouts this season, with four coming in conference play. Camden Anders (11-4, 3.07 ERA) is 8-1 with a 2.04 ERA in CUSA games, posting a win and a save during the FIU series this past weekend. Danner Allen (5-2, 6.09) has posted two shutouts, including a no-hitter at Missouri State, April 3. Gabby Mike (2-10, 4.20) struck out a career-high seven batters, April 2 at Missouri State, while Abigail Findlay (4-1, 4.39) earned the win at No. 13 Virginia Tech, Wednesday.
