Liberty Softball Receives NFCA Academic Honors

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Liberty softball team has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for academic success.
The Lady Flames earned the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team award for the 11th time in the last 13 years.
Additionally, 17 Liberty student-athletes received mention on the list of Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
Liberty posted a team grade-point average of 3.47 during the 2025-26 academic year. Butler earned the highest GPA in the nation, at 3.876.
The NFCA All-Academic Team award was given to each member institution that recorded a 3.0 or higher GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 162 NCAA Division I schools received the award.
Liberty seniors Brynn McManus and Aubry Norris, juniors JaMaya Byrum, Paige Dorman and Katie Love, redshirt sophomore Haley McManus, sophomores Danner Allen, Camden Anders and Gabby Mike, redshirt freshmen Felicity Fonseca, Aubrey Fulcher and Hallie Meeks, along with freshmen Nahla Bigham, Abigail Findlay, Dani Lee, Caitlyn Nesbitt and Taryn Newton, were all named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
The Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete award is given to any softball player submitted by a member coach who attained a 3.50 grade-point average or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
A total of 8,850 softball student-athletes received Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete distinction this year. The awardees represent seven different divisions, encompassing NCAA, NAIA, junior college and high school. NCAA Division I received 2,637 honorees.
