
Lady Flames Fall to Bulldogs 10-0 on Senior Day

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The visiting Louisiana Tech Bulldogs posted a 10-0 victory over Liberty, Saturday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
With the win, the Bulldogs (25-23, 11-12 CUSA) claim the series and will attempt a sweep tomorrow. The Lady Flames fall to 23-25, 15-8 in conference play.
From start to finish, today's game lasted six hours and 19 minutes, including 3:47 combined in two separate weather delays.

Turning Point
- Louisiana Tech led 3-0 heading into the top of the sixth. The Bulldogs scored four runs, all unearned, capitalizing on a Liberty error. LA Tech then added a three-run seventh.
- Bulldog reliever Bryannah Campos hit Maci Strickland to start the bottom of the seventh, but retired the next three Lady Flames in order to seal the shutout.
- LA Tech outhit Liberty 10-4, with the Lady Flames committing two errors. The Bulldogs left nine runners on base, while the Lady Flames stranded five.
- Bryannah Campos (6-3) earned the win with four innings of two-hit relief. Louisiana Tech starter Ruby Fidge allowed two hits and one walk in three innings pitched.
- Abigail Findlay (4-2) drew the loss for Liberty, allowing two runs on one hit, walking five and fanning two in 1 2/3 innings. Danner Allen yielded five runs (one earned) on five hits, walking one and striking out four in four innings. After Caitlin Nesbitt pitched 1/3 of an inning, Kaylan Yoder struck out two and allowed one unearned run in one inning.
- Gracie Flores batted 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and one run scored, while Allie Furr (2-for-3) doubled and scored two runs. Aleah Brooks went 2-for-3 with one run scored, while Reese Torres hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer.
- Paige Doerr and Savannah Nash both doubled for Liberty, while Ella Fox and Maci Strickland both singled.
- Liberty is now 11-2 all-time against Louisiana Tech in softball, including 9-2 since joining Conference USA prior to the 2024 season.
- This is only Liberty's second conference series lost in 25 total CUSA regular-season series since joining the conference prior to the 2024 season.
- Liberty is now tied with Delaware for third in CUSA standings.
