
Liberty in 10th Place After Round 1 of Bryan Bros Collegiate

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – Following round one at the 2025 Bryan Bros Collegiate, which started a day early on Sunday, Liberty currently sits in 10th place in the 15-team field.
Due to the threat of inclement weather later this week, tournament officials shifted the scheduled Monday-Tuesday event to a Sunday-Monday event.
The teams played the first 18 holes of the tournament today at the Solina Golf Club (par 71, 6,827 yards) and will conclude the event with 36 holes of play on Monday.
Liberty carded a 3-over par 287. The Flames are 16 shots off the pace set by Day 1 leader Charlotte, who opened the event with a 13-under par 271.
LSU is two shots back following an 11-under par 273, while Clemson is in third place with a 6-under par 278.
A total of 30 players finished the first round of the tournament in red figures, including Liberty's Josh Ryan, who is tied for 23rd place following an opening round 1-under par 70. The senior offset two bogeys on the day with three birdies.
Michael Lugiano is one shot back of Ryan and stands in a share of 31st place following an even par round of 71.
Freshman Silas Haarer, who is starting his first event for the Flames, is in 42nd place after a 1-over par 73. Lugiano and Haarer matched Ryan on day one of the tournament, each carding three birdies.
The 15-team field will return to the Solina Golf Club on Monday morning for a shotgun start, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The event will finish with 36 holes of continuous play.
