LYNCHBURG, Va. - The 20th-ranked Liberty Lady Flames remained unbeaten in CUSA play, sweeping UTEP by scores of 2-1 and 11-1 on Saturday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
The Lady Flames (31-6, 11-0) earned their fourth conference series sweep, running their overall winning streak to eight games in the process. Meanwhile, UTEP falls to 12-19, 2-10 in CUSA play.

- Liberty's Kaylan Yoder and UTEP's Serenity Jacoway battled through a scoreless game through four and a half innings. The Lady Flames broke through on an RBI single by Savannah Woodard in the bottom of the fifth, adding a Paige Doerr sac fly in the sixth.
- Halle Hogan homered the narrow the gap to 2-1 with one out in the top of the seventh, but Yoder fanned the next two batters to end the game.
- Liberty outhit UTEP 4-2 for the game. The Lady Flames left five runners on, compared to four stranded by the Miners.
- Yoder (6-2) earned the win, allowing one run on two hits, walking two and fanning four.
- Jacoway fell to 1-4 with the loss, yielding two runs on four hits while walking two.
- Doerr went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and one RBI for the Lady Flames, while Brynn McManus hit her 10th double of the season.
- Halle Hogan went 1-for-2 with a homer, one RBI and one run scored.
- Liberty (30-6) reached its 30th win in its 36th game of the season, the fastest to 30 wins in program history. The previous record was 38 games, starting 30-8 in 2018.
- Liberty improved to 7-2 in one-run games this season.

- UTEP held a 1-0 lead entering the bottom of the fourth inning, as Miner starter Audrey Gallegos retired the first 10 Lady Flames in order. Rachel Roupe broke up the perfect game, no-hitter and shutout with one swing of the bat, a game-tying homer.
- The Lady Flames backed Paige Bachman's 10-strikeout performance with a pair of runs in the fifth before erupting for eighth in the sixth, capped by Roupe's walk-off three-run homer.
- Liberty outhit UTEP 8-4 for the game, with both teams committing one error.
- Bachman improved to 7-1 with the win, allowing one run on four hits, walking one and striking out a season-high 10 batters.
- Gallegos (3-4) drew the loss, yielding eight runs (seven earned) on six hits, walking two and striking out two in 5 2/3 innings.
- Roupe batted 2-for-3 with two homers, four RBI and two runs scored. KK Madrey batted 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base.
- Liberty leads the all-time series against UTEP, 6-1, including 5-1 since the Lady Flames joined Conference USA prior to the 2024 season.
- This is the first season in program history in which Liberty has had three separate winning streaks of eight games or more.

- Roupe had her 10th career multiple-homer game, ranking her one shy of Jessica Moore's program record of 11, set from 2005-07.
- Roupe (2023-25) and Moore (2005-07) are the only two Lady Flames with three separate 15-homer seasons to their credit.
- At 11-0 in CUSA play, Liberty is tied with the 2013 Tulsa team for the best-ever start to conference play in Conference USA softball history.
- Liberty has set a new program record with 11 double-digit scoring games, breaking the previous mark of 10 set in 2023.
- Liberty's six 10-strikeout games this season are its most since striking out 10 batters or more 10 times during the 2016 campaign.
