
Xavier Comes from Behind to Defeat Liberty 9-5

Host Liberty jumped out to a 5-0 advantage through the first three innings, only to see Xavier cut its lead to 5-2 in the top of the fourth inning.
The Musketeers then struck for four in the seventh inning to take the lead for good at 6-5 and never looked back behind reliever Jack Nobe. The freshman right-hander held the Flames scoreless over the final five innings, allowing Xavier to mount its comeback.
Liberty left fielder Nick Barone hit his first home run as a Flame, a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning.
The Flames drop to 5-1 on the season. The Musketeers even their record at 3-3.
