• Liberty starting shortstop Tanner Marsh has been selected as one of the 50 of the nation's best shortstops to be named a 2026 Brooks Wallace Award semifinalist by the College Baseball Foundation. The top 50 shortstops were selected based on both their offensive and defensive production this season on Wednesday.
• Marsh has sparked the Liberty offense, leading the Flames with a .361 batting average and 47 runs scored. Liberty's leadoff hitter also leads in hits with 60, a .455 on-base percentage and an OPS of 1.009.
• Marsh has 35 RBI and a slugging percentage of .554.
• The infielder is among the CUSA leaders in several offensive categories. He enters the weekend leading the conference in runs scored and triples. Marsh is also among the leaders in batting average (6th), hits (2nd), on-base percentage (9th), OPS (8th), walks (9th) and stolen bases (4th).
