
Liberty Comes from Behind to Take Series from DBU 9-8

Down 7-2 in the top of the fifth, Liberty sent 12 men to the plate, scoring six runs, all with two out, on four hits to take an 8-7 advantage.
After seeing the Patriots tie the game at 8-8, designated hitter Landon Scilley was hit by a pitch for the second time in the game in the seventh inning to force in a run, giving the Flames a 9-8 lead.
Liberty reliever Tyler August held DBU in check from the sixth through eighth innings. The right-hander pitched three scoreless innings, allowing one hit.
Harrington followed August, pitching a scoreless ninth inning to close out the Flames' victory.
Liberty shortstop Tanner Marsh went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, scoring two runs, to lead all hitters in the contest.
The Flames take possession of third place in the CUSA standings, moving to 13-5 in conference and 28-11 overall. DBU drops to 12-6 in the conference standings and 23-17 overall.
