East Carolina All-American Trey Yesavage held the Flames to one on three hits over six innings to remain unbeaten (3-0).
Liberty broke through for a run to cut its deficit to 4-1 in the sixth, only to see East Carolina plate five in the eighth. The Flames counter with four in the ninth for the final score.
Liberty catcher Macaddin Dye had two hits and drove in two runs in the contest.
The Flames fall to 5-8 on the year. East Carolina improves to 8-4.
