• The Liberty Flames will open the final month of the regular season with a three-game CUSA series against the New Mexico State Aggies at Presley Askew Field this weekend. The Flames will be making only their second visit to the state of New Mexico, as Liberty took two games of it three-game series with New Mexico State in 2024.
• This past weekend, Liberty won the final two games of its series with Delaware to move to 15-6 in conference play and into sole possession of second place in the league standings. The Flames upped their overall record to 32-13 with a 12-2 victory in seven innings over Charlotte on Tuesday.
• With six road games left in the 2026 regular season, Liberty has posted a 14-5 record on the road this season. The mark is the seventh best road record in the nation.
• Liberty head coach Bradley LeCroy is in his second season. LeCroy has led the Flames to a 62-40 rec-ord. LeCroy, who has been a head coach for four years, captured his 100th career coaching victory with Liberty's 10-7 victory over Hofstra on March 1.

Blair and Zayac Selected National Pitcher of the Year Semifinalists
• Liberty right-handers Ben Blair and Bradley Zayac are two of college baseball's top 43 pitchers selected as semifinalists for the 2026 National Pitcher of the Year Award. The semifinalists were announced by the College Baseball Foundation on April 22.
• Ben Blair
   Blair, who appeared on the National Pitcher of the Year Watchlist for the second time earlier this season, has posted a 6-3 record with a 2.94 ERA over 67 1/3 innings. In 11 starts, he has struck out 86 and walked nine, while holding opponents to a .194 batting average. The Gretna, Va., native also has a stellar 9.56 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Blair enters his start on Friday among the national leaders in several categories. The junior is eighth in the country in strikeout-to-walk ratio and is third with a 0.85 WHIP. He is also among the national leaders in strikeouts (17th) and walks allowed per nine innings (12th).
   The right-hander, who has already been named the CUSA Pitcher of the Week three times this season (Feb. 16, March 2 & March 23), leads the conference in opponent batting average. He is second in CUSA in wins, innings pitched, strikeouts and fewest walks issued.Â
   Blair was one of 45 of the nation's top amateur baseball players named to the midseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award by USA Baseball. He is only the second Liberty player to be named to the watch list, as outfielder D.J. Artis was named to the award's midseason list in 2017.

   Zayac has been a steady addition to the Flames' pitching staff in 2026. The sophomore enters the weekend with a 6-0 record and a 3.09 ERA over 58 1/3 innings. In 11 games, 10 starts, the right-hander has struck out 50 and walked nine. The Chespeake, Va., native has held opponents to a .245 batting average and also sports a 5.56 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
   Currently, Zayac is 36th in the country with a 1.05 WHIP, 32nd in strikeout to walk ratio and 20th in walks per nine innings.  He is among the conference leaders in ERA (6th), wins (2nd), innings pitched (6th), strikeouts (9th), opponent batting average (8th) and fewest walks issued (2nd).
