Virginia struck for three runs in the bottom of the sixth, backing a three-hit shutout by freshman Eden Bigham in a 3-0 Cavaliers win over Liberty, Tuesday at Palmer Park.
The Cavaliers improve to 27-13 with the win, splitting the season series against Liberty. The Lady Flames (25-14) saw their seven-game winning streak, which began on March 31 against Kennesaw State, come to a close.

Notable Numbers
- Virginia outhit Liberty 6-3 for the game. The Lady Flames left five runners on base while the Cavaliers stranded three.

- Virginia broke the tie on Hylton’s one-out solo homer in the bottom of the sixth. After a walk and a sacrifice bunt, Gilbert made it 3-0 when she hit a two-run home run.
