
Flames Continue Fall Slate at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

The Flames will begin a busy month of October when they tee it up at the 2023 Bank of Tennessee Collegiate on Sunday.
The 25th annual hosting of the ETSU event will be contested at the Blackthorn Club (par 72, 7,147 yards) in Jonesborough, Tenn.
The event will be the first of three tournaments for the Flames during the month of October. Following this tournament, Liberty will make return appearances at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Ver Beach, Fla. (Oct. 15-16) and the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Ka'anapali, Hawaii (Oct. 26-28).
Tournament host ETSU has won their own event two out of the last four years (2018 and 2021) with winning scores of 32-under par 832 and 35-under par 829. Cincinnati claimed the title in 2023 with a winning score of 30-under par 834.
This year's 15-team tournament field includes Augusta, Charleston, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, ETSU, FGCU, Furman, Georgia Southern, Louisiana Tech, Liberty, Loyola Marymount, Penn State, Rutgers, Toledo and Virginia Tech.
Leading the charge for the Flames this week will be sophomore Josh Ryan, who finished tied for 14th place at the Valero Texas Collegiate with a 1-under par 215 (70-71-74).
Play gets underway on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. The Flames will be among the first teams on the course on Sunday, heading off the No. 1 tee at 8:30 a.m., along with FGCU and Rutgers.
