White has been named the Southland Conference Katrinka Jo Crawford Coach of the Year three times since the 2020 season (2020, 2023 and 2024) and the LSWA Louisiana Coach of the year four times (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024).
Southeastern Louisiana boasted the nation’s longest win streak during the 2024 season, reeling off 24-straight victories and posted a perfect 16-0 record in conference play.

White led the Lady Lions to the top of the Southland in the 2022 season as the team won the program's first-ever SLC Tournament Championship, doing so on its home floor, and automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Championship Tournament.
The team’s 25-8 record represented a 16-win turnaround for the Lady Lions which had won nine matches a season before. Kailin Newsome was named the Tournament's MVP. Newsome and Hidalgo loaded up on awards during the season with both being named All-Conference and All-Louisiana while Newsome added a state Player of the Year honor from the LSWA to her ledger as well as an AVCA All-Region selection. White earned his second career Louisiana Coach of the Year award as well.
In his first indoor season at Southeastern, White engineered one of the biggest turnarounds in the nation as he helped guide the Lady Lions to a 12-win improvement over the 2018 season.
Picked to finish last in the Southland Conference preseason poll, White brought Southeastern back to the conference tournament for the first time in three years after leading the Lady Lions to their most overall wins since the 2004 season and most conference wins since 2014.
White backed up the turnaround effort with another stellar product during a delayed 2020 season, ending Stephen F. Austin’s 42-match winning streak during conference competition and guiding SLU to the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament.

Prior to his days at Southeastern Louisiana, White spent two seasons at Northwestern Oklahoma State, leading the Lady Rangers to the two best years in school history (38-25), producing seven All-Conference selections and a Great American Conference Newcomer of the Year.

With a fourth-place regular season finish in the Great American Conference, the Lady Rangers advanced to the conference tournament for only the second time in six seasons. For his efforts, White was named state Coach of the Year by the Oklahoma Sports Network.
Before Northwestern, White spent one season as the top assistant at Lamar State College in Port Arthur, Texas, and two more as the recruiting coordinator at fellow Southland Conference foe McNeese.
While at McNeese, White helped guide the Cowgirls to back-to-back appearances in the conference tournament. He coached three All-Southland performers, two of which – Malina Sanchez (2015 Louisiana Player of the Year) and Bridget Justis (2016 Louisiana Libero of the Year) – also earned top honors from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
White has several years of both club and high school coaching experience, the most prominent being a stint as head coach at Barbe High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
From 2011 to 2013, White led the Lady Bucs to an 81-28 record, three-straight District 1-5A Championships and back-to-back appearances in the State Quarterfinals (2012 and 2013). A fixture in Texas and Louisiana club circles, he was a club director and coach for eight years, with multiple club teams across both states. Many of the players he trained and coached at the club level went on to play collegiate volleyball after playing in his system.
A two-time graduate of McNeese, White earned a bachelor's degree in health and human performance in 2008 and completed his masters in exercise physiology in 2016. He is married to the former Sarah Lyons, a Lake Charles native. The couple has two children, son Karter James and daughter Maggie Cate.
