PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Liberty turned in a dominant performance in Friday afternoon's road non-conference matchup, defeating Saint Joseph's 5-1 at Ellen Ryan Field.

The Lady Flames' leading goal scorer, Luna Prieri, scored her third of the season. Freshmen Pia Iapichino and Clarisa Iudicello notched their first career goals, while Zoé Gaillard and Julieta Tornati each scored goals as well.
Liberty picks up its first true road win of 2026, improving to 2-1 overall on the year. Saint Joseph's slips to 1-2.

Turning Point
Liberty's Zoé Gaillard started the scoring at the 7:14 mark, sending a ball off a Saint Joseph's defender and into the back of the cage for a 1-0 lead. With just over a minute left in the first period, the Lady Flames earned their fourth penalty corner and converted to make it 2-0 at the 13:53 mark. Following an insert from Teshawn De La Rey to Mia Santana, Luna Prieri ripped a shot into the left corner of the goal.
After a scoreless second frame, Liberty stretched the lead to 3-0. Julieta Tornati struck on a penalty corner, assisted by Morena Giacosa and Avery Pollock, in the 36th minute. Saint Joseph's got on the board just over two minutes later, as Cat Arentz scored on a penalty corner tipped from the right side, assisted by Adele Jardemar.
Liberty's fourth goal came courtesy of a setup from Luna Prieri and Josefina Tomasi to Pia Iapichino. Prieri shoveled a pass to Tomasi, who sent a ball towards the cage that Pia Iapichino finished for her first career goal (41:03 mark). In the closing stages of the fourth quarter (56th minute), Clarisa Iudicello notched her first career goal. The midfielder battled a bouncing ball that redirected off the stick of Santana, sending a powerful shot into the cage at the 55:22 mark.
