
Anders, Doerr Named to CUSA All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Liberty junior outfielder Paige Doerr and sophomore pitcher Camden Anders have been named to the 2026 Conference USA Softball All-Academic Team.
A native of Coburg, Ore., Doerr holds a 4.0 GPA as a law and policy major. Meanwhile, Valdosta, Ga., native Anders is a 4.0 student while pursuing a degree in business administration.
Doerr is one of four players to appear on the CUSA All-Academic Team in both 2025 and 2026.
Anders, in her first year since transferring from Georgia Tech, has emerged as the staff ace, going 9-3 with a 2.34 ERA, one shutout (a no-hitter), 58 strikeouts and a .228 opponents' batting average in conference play. Overall, she is 12-6 with a 3.10 ERA. In conference-only play, she ranks fourth in CUSA in ERA and ninth in opponents' batting average. Anders is tied for second in CUSA with three conference-only saves. She struck out a career-high eight batters in six shutout innings, April 3 at Missouri State. On March 14 at Middle Tennessee, she tossed Liberty's first no-hitter since the 2024 season. Anders picked up her first career complete-game victory on Feb. 21 against Maryland, allowing just one earned run.
Doerr, a 2025 CUSA All-Academic and All-Tournament Team member, has made a successful transition to center field this year, where she leads the team with eight outfield assists, seven of which have come in CUSA play. She has also thrived at the plate in CUSA games, batting .292 with four doubles, two homers, 14 RBI, a .442 OBP and .477 slugging percentage in conference play. She is tied for the lead with 6 HBP in conference games. For the year, she has posted seven multiple-hit games, including two three-hit contests. Doerr went 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored against Toledo, and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored on April 19 at FIU, a game in which her two-out single kept a game-winning rally alive in the seventh inning. She delivered a bases-loaded double in a 10-9 win at No. 13 Virginia Tech,
Conference USA All-Conference, All-Freshman and major award winners will be announced on Tuesday.
