
Liberty Secures Third Consecutive ASUN Win, Unseats Royals 19-9

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Liberty women's lacrosse (7-9, 5-2 ASUN) picked up their third consecutive conference victory with a 19-9 win over Queens (3-12 ASUN) on Saturday on the road. The Lady Flames, led by Ava Rajala with nine points (4g, 5a) secured their victory with a dominant fourth quarter, scoring nine goals in the frame to cement the win.
Rajala contributed a career-best performance tallying a career-high nine points with four goals and a team-high five assists. Katie Colavito found the net six times and assisted on another, with three goals coming from woman-up situations. Olivia Young added to the scoring effort with three goals and one assist.
Ava Menna helped the Lady Flames control possession throughout the contest with a program record 20 draw controls. Menna held the previous record of 18, which she accomplished last season, against Queens.
The Lady Flames improve to 6-1 on the road this season and improve to 4-1 all-time against the Royals.
