Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty truly just felt like home the minute I saw campus for the first time. Liberty was always my top school because, for me, nothing beats being able to be on a team whose purpose is to glorify the Lord while still playing at a highly competitive level. The team culture is unlike anything I have seen before and there is a contagious joy that radiates from this program! I am so blessed to be able to play the sport at a school that emphasizes growing as an athlete and growing spiritually as well.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I honestly don't do anything super special, but I will always be dancing to get me hype pregame!
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
While this may sound cliche, my parents are such an inspiration to me because they really model what it means to trust God's faithfulness and goodness and be examples of His character. I am so thankful to have parents who are so full of joy and so hardworking because I carry that with me through everything. My mom is so strong and the love and kindness of the Lord shines so brightly through her. My dad is such a good example of doing things with a humble, and hardworking heart. I am so thankful to have parents that model such faithfulness, love and joy.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
I think the most memorable accomplishment, for me, was this prior season when my team made it to the state tournament and ended up being runners-up. While 2nd place is not usually the goal, the amount of hard work we all put in to make it to that point and to play such a good game made the experience so memorable. I am so thankful to have been surrounded by such a great team that was an incredible support system.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I check my messages!
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love to paddle board, run, and try different coffee shops with friends. I also love Pilates and am working on becoming an instructor!
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Yes! I have a golden retriever that is my running buddy! I also have two orange tabby cats!
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
I will survive by Gloria Gaynor.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
I have always wanted to go to Hawaii and Europe! The culture of Europe is what is most intriguing to me and the beaches and hiking options in Hawaii seem so fun!
