Colavito, Klunder to Participate in 2026 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty seniors, midfielder Katie Colavito and defender Madeleine Klunder have been selected to the 2026 IWLCA Senior All-Star game, the organization announced Wednesday. The contest will take place on Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, May 30 at 12:30 p.m.
The athletes become the sixth and seventh Lady Flames chosen to represent Liberty in the prestigious event. They are the first pair to compete since 2023, when Lizzy Ferguson and Grace
Loughery were selected to participate in the prestigious event.
The senior all-stars will be split into two teams, blue and white, consisting of 52 total athletes from Division I programs. Both Lady Flames will be showcased on the white squad, coached by Mount St. Mary's Lauren Shellcock.
Colavito has been named to an Atlantic Sun All-Conference team in each of her four years in Lynchburg. She was named the 2025 ASUN Midfielder of the Year and the ASUN Championship MVP en route to leading the Lady Flames to their first-ever conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance. She was also named a USA Lacrosse All-American (honorable mention) that season. This past year, she was named to the ASUN All-Conference first team for the second consecutive season.
The midfielder ranks No. 3 in program history in goals (131) and caused turnovers (119). She also ranks No. 6 with 170 draw controls, No. 8 with 133 ground balls and No. 9 with 160 career points.
Klunder, a redshirt senior, has remained a staple in the Liberty defensive unit over the past three seasons. She was named to the ASUN All-Conference first team for the second time in her career this past season and was previously named to the second team in 2025. Klunder was also tabbed to the 2026 ASUN All-Tournament team this season.
The defender ranks No. 2 in program history with 122 career turnovers and 164 ground balls. Liberty led the country in caused turnovers for the past three consecutive years, all with Klunder starting the majority of contests. She ranks No. 4 in team history with 72 games started.
