4/12/2026 6:17:00 AM | Men's Golf
The Flames will close out the regular season portion of their 2025-26 schedule with a drive up 29 North to participate in the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, starting on Monday.
The two-day event is roughly 70 miles from campus and is hosted by No. 2 Virginia at the Birdwood Golf Course (par 71, 7,116 yards) in Charlottesville, Va.
The tournament will serve as Liberty's final event before they challenge for the title at the 2026 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship in Texarkana, Ark., April 27-30.
For the second-consecutive tournament, all nine members of Liberty's roster will have a chance to tee it up in the same event – five starters and four playing as individuals. All nine players also played in the Giles-Spratley Collegiate in Midlothian, Va., earlier this week.
The 12-team event will provide the Flames with a stern test of golf, as the field features four top 25 programs and seven top 100 teams: Virginia (No. 2), Tennessee (No. 14), Charlotte (No. 21), Florida State (No. 25), SMU (No. 45), NC State (No. 62) and Liberty (No. 79).
Play gets underway on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET with a shotgun start and 36 holes of action. The final round on Tuesday will use tee times and will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.
