The Lady Flames (15-16) improve to 8-2 in CUSA play with their seventh conference win in a row. The Blue Hens fall to 15-18, 4-6 in conference games. Delaware had won each of its last three games entering today.

Turning Point
- Delaware trailed 4-0 entering the fourth inning, as the Blue Hens were held without a hit by Liberty starter Danner Allen until that point. Sydney Shaffer broke up the no-hitter and shutout with a leadoff homer. After a Kristen Luzon double, Gabby Mike entered the circle for Liberty. Gianna Costaro hit an RBI double followed by a game-tying two-run homer by Maddie Diamond before Liberty could get out of the inning.
- The Lady Flames regained the lead in the fifth. Brynn McManus drew a leadoff walk before Paige Doerr launched a two-run home run to center to make it 6-4 Liberty. Relief pitcher Karli Charllburg then came in for Delaware. Back-to-back doubles by Dani Lee and Brooke Roberts pushed the lead to 7-4.
- Liberty outhit Delaware 10-6 for the game, with the Blue Hens committing three errors compared to two miscues by the Lady Flames.
- Camden Anders (7-2) earned the win, pitching the final three innings of two-hit softball while walking two. Liberty starter Danner Allen allowed two runs on two hits in three innings, walking two and striking out five. Gabby Mike yielded two runs in one inning.
- Delaware reliever Claire Woods (2-5) drew the loss, allowing three runs, two earned, on two hits, walking two and fanning three in 2 1/3 innings of relief pitching. Blue Hen starter Josie Crossman gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits in 1 2/3 innings.
- Savannah Jessee (2-for-4), Dani Lee (2-for-3) and Brooke Roberts (2-for-3) had one double each. Paige Doerr homered and drove in two runs, while Ella Fox and Savanah Whatley both drove in one run.
- Katie Scheivert went 2-for-4 for Delaware, while Sydney Shaffer and Maddie Diamond both homered.
- Liberty leads Delaware 4-2 in the all-time series in softball.
- Liberty has homered in each of its last 11 games. It is the team's longest streak of consecutive games with at least one home run since homering in 13 straight games, Feb. 21 through March 12, 2021.
- Ella Fox extended her hitting streak to eight games.
- Dani Lee made her first career start today, batting seventh while playing right field.
