ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Liberty maintains a 126-79 lead over UNC Asheville after day one of a two-day dual meet, Friday at Justice Center Pool.

- The Lady Flames won nine out of 11 events contested tonight. Diving took place in the afternoon at the Asheville Jewish Community Center.
- Two six-dive contests were held of one-meter diving, with Shannon Icard leading a 1-2-3-4 sweep in the first one and a 1-2-3-4-5 sweep in the second.
- Liberty won both relays in resounding fashion.
- Layne Jones picked up her first individual-event win of the season, claiming victory in the 1,650 freestyle in 17:18.91. Kaycee Cannings (17:29.92) followed in second.
- Gwyneth Frick (2:06.98) won the 200 IM, edging out UNC Asheville's Alessia Cunegatti (2:07.40).
- Anna Marcotti gave the Bulldogs both of their wins tonight, claiming both the 50 free (24.00) and 200 free (1:52.90) back-to-back.
- Emily Harstad (2:06.67) and Riley Leach (2:06.67) gave Liberty a 1-2 showing in the 200 fly, before Dakota Howard won the 100 back by over three seconds with a winning time of 55.92.
- Aly Bozzuto remained unbeaten in the 100 breaststroke this season, earning victory in 1:04.81.
- Icard earned qualifying scores in one-meter diving for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, scoring 265.80 and 267.15.
- Liberty is 7-2 all-time against UNC Asheville in head-to-head dual meets.
