
Liberty Announces 2026-27 Swimming & Diving Schedule

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Swimming & Diving team has announced its 2026-27 schedule, highlighted by the team hosting the 2027 American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. Highlights of the schedule also include a flight trips to FIU, along with a visit from Big Ten opponent Rutgers.
The Lady Flames, under the direction of 17th-year Head Coach Jake Shellenberger, competed in the American Conference for the first year as associate members in 2025-26. Liberty placed second at the 2026 American Conference Swimming & Diving Championship.
Liberty will host the 2027 American Conference Swimming & Diving Championship, Feb. 17-20 at Liberty Natatorium. It will mark the fourth time that the Lady Flames have competed in a conference championship meet hosted at Liberty Natatorium. Liberty hosted the CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships in 2019, 2021 and 2022.
Lynchburg area swimming & diving fans will have several opportunities to see the Lady Flames in action at the Liberty Natatorium. Liberty opens the schedule with an exhibition meet against University of Lynchburg on Sept. 25.
The Lady Flames open the season with a two-day meet at Virginia Tech, Oct. 2-3.
Liberty then hosts Rutgers for the second year in a row, welcoming the Scarlet Knights to Liberty Natatorium Oct. 9-10. A meet at FIU (Oct. 23-24) rounds out Liberty's fall dual meet schedule.
The eighth-annual TYR '85 Invite will be held Nov. 20-22 at Liberty Natatorium.
Liberty's qualified divers will compete in the USA Diving Winter National Championship, held Dec. 9-15 in Midland, Texas.
During the month of January, Liberty will compete at East Carolina on Jan. 15-16 before hosting Campbell for a senior meet, Jan. 22-23.
The 2027 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be hosted in Austin, Texas, March 17-20.
