LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lady Flames (10-6, 5-0 ASUN) head down to Florida with the No. 1 seed and the Atlantic Sun regular season championship on the line, facing Jacksonville (9-5, 5-0 ASUN) on Saturday at 11 a.m. The contest from Rock Stadium will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Liberty is coming off a 17-6 loss at No. 12 James Madison on April 16 in their most recent action.
The Lady Flames seek their second unbeaten regular season in Atlantic Sun action and first ASUN regular season title since the team went 7-0 in 2023. That season was the first and the last time Liberty topped the Dolphins, a 12-10 road win on April 1 in what was the Lady Flames' first-ever win over a ranked foe at the time.
The winner of Saturday's tilt will claim the outright ASUN regular season crown and the No. 1 seed in the ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship. Lynchburg, Va. and the Liberty Lacrosse Field will serve as the host site for the event on May 1 and 3.
Liberty is 1-13 all-time against Jacksonville. The two squads met in back-to-back games last season. Jacksonville topped Liberty on the road 12-11 to conclude the regular season. The rivals met again in the semifinal round of the 2024 ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship, with the No.1 seed Dolphins securing a 10-9 win to advance to the championship final.
