
Liberty Battle Defending ASUN Champs, Coastal Carolina

LYNCHBURG, Va. – With a chance to prove themselves this weekend against the reigning Atlantic Sun champions, Liberty women's lacrosse (6-3, 1-0 ASUN) takes on Coastal Carolina (4-5), on the road Saturday. The game will be played at Brooks Stadium at noon and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Liberty is coming off a 15-6 loss at Pitt on March 12 that halted a six-game winning streak. The Lady Flames topped Stetson 22-4 at home on March 6 to open ASUN action.
The Lady Flames fell at home to Coastal 14-9 on April 4 last season. Queens went on to secure the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship and topped the No. 1 seed and tournament host, Jacksonville, 10-9 in the championship final. The Chanticleers fell 24-6 to No. 7 Notre Dame in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.
Liberty owns an 8-4 lead in the all-time series with Coastal Carolina.
The Lady Flames look to improve on a 2-2 record on the road this season.
