Liberty Lacrosse Debuts New Turf Field to Open Fall Season

LYNCHBURG, Va. – After installing a new turf field this Summer, the Liberty Lacrosse team will open the fall season hosting six programs at the Liberty Play Day on Sept. 27. The Lady Flames will also travel for four matchups, including contests at Virginia Tech (Oct. 9) and Clemson (Oct. 24).

Liberty will host Winthrop, Old Dominion, Longwood, Campbell, Queens and Radford on Sunday, Sept. 27. Two fields will be utilized from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to host a total of 12 contests. Liberty will be split into two squads and will participate in three games each. The contests will be customized to sport 12-minute quarters.
The Lady Flames make four trips this fall, opening competition at Virginia Tech on Sept. 20. Liberty will also make trips to High Point (Oct. 11), George Mason (Oct. 16) and Clemson (Oct. 24).
Liberty will compete against Longwood, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech and Clemson for the second straight fall season; they will be playing the Hokies for a third consecutive fall.
