The 21st-ranked (Softball America) Lady Flames improve to 16-4 on the season, including 8-1 at home. Lehigh 3-11 has gone 1-3 so far this weekend, while App State (6-12) has posted a 3-1 record at the Liberty Softball Invitational.

Turning Point
- Lehigh took a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first. However, Liberty responded with nine runs in the home half, capped by a two-run Rachel Roupe home run.
- The Lady Flames scored three more in the second and two in the fourth, pulling away for the 15-5, five-inning triumph.
- Liberty outhit Lehigh 11-3 on the day, with the Lady Flames committing two errors. The hosts stole a program-record nine bases, including two each by Lilly Heidorn and Paige Doerr.
- Danner Allen (2-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on two hits, walking three and fanning two in 2 1/3 innings in relief of starter Tyler Oubre. Katie Love, making her first appearance of the season, retired both batters she faced in the fifth.
- Maddy Clark (0-2) drew the loss, yielding nine runs on six hits, walking three and striking out three in 1 1/3 innings.
- Roupe went 2-for-2 with a double, home run, three RBI and three runs scored. Rachel Craine batted 2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and one run scored. Savannah Woodard went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored.
- For Lehigh, Kelly Fricker went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and one run scored.
- Liberty evened the all-time series against Lehigh at 2-2, as the Lady Flames have won each of the last two meetings.
- The Lady Flames broke the program's single-game record for stolen bases, swiping nine bases today. The previous record of eight was done three times, with the last being on Feb. 11, 2018 against Chattanooga.
- Liberty scored its most runs in a single game since beating Longwood 19-3 in five innings on March 6, 2021.
- Liberty's nine-run first inning was its highest-scoring inning since scoring 11 runs in the second inning against Ball State on March 9, 2023.

Turning Point
- Liberty broke open a tight, 3-1 game, scoring four times in the fourth to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
- Paige Doerr ended the game with a one-out, walk-off homer in the bottom of the sixth, sealing the 9-1, run-rule victory.Â
- The Lady Flames outhit the Mountaineers 11-4 for the game. Liberty committed three errors, compared to two for App State.
- Paige Bachman (5-1) went the distance, allowing one unearned run on four hits and striking out three.
- App State's Mollie Bulla (0-2) did not retire a batter, yielding three runs on three hits before giving way to relievers Ava Beamesderfer and Bel Varadi.
- Four different Lady Flames had two hits apiece, in Savannah Woodard, Brooke Roberts (two RBI), Paige Doerr (homer, RBI, career-high three steals) and Rachel Craine.
- Liberty has won both meetings all-time against App State, with the only previous matchup being on Feb. 17, 2007.

Liberty's 13-game homestand continues on Tuesday at 4 p.m., when the Lady Flames take on James Madison. Due to threatening weather in the forecast, that game was rescheduled from its original Wednesday date.
