LYNCHBURG, Va. – Forward Halle Engle has been selected to the 2025 Conference USA All-Academic team, receiving the honor for the second straight season, the conference announced on Friday. She represents the only CUSA student-athlete to receive the award for a second time.
Engle sports a 3.99 GPA in her major of exercise science: therapeutic science. The redshirt junior was not only selected to the 2024 CUSA All-Academic team, but she was also named to the VaSID Academic All-State team and the CSC Academic All-District team last year.
The forward ranks second on Liberty with five goals (sixth in CUSA), five assists (second in CUSA) and 15 points (sixth in CUSA) in 17 games this season. She also ranks third in CUSA with 25 shots on goal this season.
The redshirt junior has been instrumental in helping Liberty receive its third consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Pinnacle Award. The recognition highlights programs that have excelled on the field, academically and through sportsmanship.
Engle has helped Liberty to a 10-3-4 record this season with a 5-0-2 mark in CUSA play. Liberty has a chance to receive at least a share of the CUSA Regular Season Championship with a win over Sam Houston at home on Sunday (1 p.m. kickoff).
