Liberty advances to the semifinal round and will take on No. 3 seed Sam Houston (9-5-2) in the semifinal round on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The Lady Flames conceded an early goal after a misplay on the edge of the 18-yard box. Louisiana Tech's Ashley Leonhart released a strike off a deflected cross to open the scoring in the third minute of the tournament's opening contest.
Liberty pressured throughout the first half, breaking through with the equalizer in the 13th minute. CUSA Player of the Year, Ivy Garner, played through a slide tackle, playing the advantage for the scoring chance. She made one touch around a pressing Bulldog goalkeeper to pitch the score into an empty net. The goal extended her point streak to five games and pushed her CUSA-leading total of goals (12) and points (30).

The senior forward came right back in the 25th minute with what became the game-winning goal, her fifth of the season. Midfielder Bri Myers sent in a ball from midfield that found Halle Engle on the far side of the penalty area. She found Garner set up at the top of the goal box and sent the ball under a falling goalkeeper.
Liberty extended the lead by way of Engle in the 29th minute. She ran the ball in herself from near midfield, making moves around two Bulldog defenders. She sent in a blistering shot that rang off all three posts before ultimately crossing the end line. The score was Engle's sixth of the season and her 18th point.

The Lady Flames pushed the lead to 4-1 in the 37th minute off a gritty effort from Isabella Wedemeyer. The sophomore rushed the net to send in a deflected shot that was heading wide of the net.
Liberty did not allow another Bulldog shot in the first half and held its foe to just three shots in the second half.
