LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty forward Ivy Garner has been selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. Garner was involved in five scores with one goal and four assists between a pair of CUSA victories over Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State.
Garner represents Liberty's third Player of the Week award this season and its third recipient. Lauren Littleton (Defensive) and Ainsley Leja (Goalkeeper) have previously received the honor this season. Liberty joins Western Kentucky as the only CUSA program to have a Player of the Week recipient in each of the three categories.
The award is Garner's second Player of the Week award of her career, previously receiving the honor in 2023. Prior to the season opener, she was named the CUSA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
The forward assisted on both scores in a 2-1 home triumph over Kennesaw State on Thursday. The senior opened the scoring on Saturday against Jacksonville State. Garner stole the ball and drove the ball herself, beating a sliding goalkeeper in the 20th minute. The Hillsborough, N.C., native added two assists later that night en route to a 5-0 victory.
Garner leads CUSA in all scoring categories with eight goals, six assists and 22 points. She also ranks No. 11 in the country in shot accuracy with a .646 rate, thanks to 31 shots on goal on 48 shots.
Liberty (9-3-4, 4-0-2 CUSA) travels for its final road game of the 2025 regular season when it heads North to take on Delaware (9-1-4, 2-1-2 CUSA) on Saturday. The contest is set for a noon start and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
