Huber Selected as Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Redshirt freshman Peyton Huber was named the Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Huber made her first career start for the Lady Flames, not allowing a goal in winning efforts over Delaware (2-1 final) on Friday and also started against Longwood (3-0 final) on Sunday night.
Huber is the second Lady Flame to receive CUSA Player of the Week recognition this season. Kayla Magee was chosen as the CUSA Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 20.
Liberty is one of three CUSA teams, along with New Mexico State and FIU, to have received multiple CUSA Player of the Week awards this season.
Huber has played in all six games to begin the 2024 season and has split time with goalkeeper Grace Workman. The Knoxville, Tenn., native started both games last week totaling 90 minutes and did not allow a goal on four shots faced.
