Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty’s religious environment helped my choice and also that it’s close to home.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I call my dad before every game to set my mind straight and get helpful advice to calm my nerves.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My dad inspires me because he is the reason that I have played soccer my entire life. He has accomplished so much in life and is my number one supporter. And my mother, I would not be where I am today without her constant love and support and always putting others first. Everything good about me is thanks to her.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Holding Tennessee’s state record for most shutouts in a season and in an entire career when I was only able to play three years due to a femur injury freshman year.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I picked this number because my lucky number is 11, and 00 is the closest that I could get to that as a goalkeeper. I was also 00 all four years of high school.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My dad, JR Huber, played college soccer and tennis at Denison University. My Uncle, Bil Miller, cousin, Liz Miller, and other cousin, Sam Miller, all played college soccer at University of Cincinnati. My cousin, Jake Corril, wrestled at Duke University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My Grandma’s Sloppy Joes.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Weather App.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Building Legos and snowboarding.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have three dogs, Holly, Dalton, and Kiki.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Hope Solo.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My pink baby blanket because it was given to me by my biological mother and I still to this day cannot sleep without it.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Dirt Road Anthem.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
