•  With the regular season concluded, the No. 5 seed Liberty Flames will face the No. 4 seed Sam Houston Bearkats in Wednesday's final game as the 2024 CUSA Baseball Championship begins at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The winner will advance to take on the winner of No. 1 seed and tournament host Louisiana Tech and No. 8 seed Middle Tennessee, while the loser will play the loser of that game in an elimination game on Thursday. Liberty has never played a game in the state of Louisiana.Â
• Liberty, 22-32 overall, finished its regular season with an 11-13 conference record, tying FIU for fifth place in the CUSA standings.Â
The Flames received the double-elimination tournament's fifth seed due to winning their three-game series with FIU, 2-1.
• Liberty enters the week having hit 68 home runs on the year. The total is the fourth most in program history.
• Flames center fielder Kane Kepley enters the CUSA Championship as the conference leader with 23 stolen bases. He has only been caught twice in 2024. Kepley leads Liberty with a .332 batting average and enters the conference championship third in CUSA with an on base percentage of .481.
• Liberty third baseman Cam Foster and designated hitter/pitcher Todd Hudson were selected to the 2024 CUSA Baseball All-Academic team.
• Head Coach Scott Jackson is in his eighth season at Liberty. Jackson has led the Flames to a 244-179 (.577) record and three NCAA Regional appearances, the most of any coach in program history.

• This season, Scott Jackson's team set a new program record by hitting eight home runs in a 25-9 win at Middle Tennessee on March 24.  The game ended after the seventh inning due to run rule.
