LAS CRUCES, N.M. - With score tied at 3-3 in the top of the fifth inning, rain halted Friday evening's game between the Liberty Flames and the New Mexico State Aggies at Presley Askew Field. The game will resume tomorrow at 5 p.m.EST/3 p.m. MST. with the Flames at bat.
Trailing 2-1 in the top of the fourth inning, Liberty scored two runs on a RBI single by shortstop Tanner Marsh and a sacrifice fly by right fielder Riley DeCandido to take a 3-2. However, in the bottom of the inning, New Mexico State evened the score at 3-3 with a two-out run.
Heavy rain then moved into the area and after a 47 minute delay, the game was suspended.
Game two of the series between the two teams will be played following the completion of the contest.
