
Liberty Erupts for 8 Runs in 6th to Down Hofstra 9-4

The Flames sent 11 men to the plate in the sixth, using three extra-base hits and taking advantage of four walks and a hit by pitch to take an 8-0 lead.
Center fielder Kane Kepley led off the inning with a walk and later in the frame belted his second home run of the year, a three-run shot over the right-center field wall. The outfielder drove in a career-high four RBI in the game and scored twice for the Flames.
After designated hitter Brayden Horton walked with the bases loaded to force in the first run of the game, third baseman Cam Foster followed by lining a bases-clearing double to give Liberty a 4-0 edge.
Left-hander Garrett Horn runs his record to 2-0 on the season. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing four hits. The junior struck out nine and walked two.
With the victory, Liberty evens the series at 1-1 and improves to 4-2 on the year. Hofstra drops to 1-4.
