DURHAM, N.C.  – The No. 12 Duke Blue Devils defeated the Liberty Flames 4-2 Wednesday at Jack Coombs Field.
The Blue Devils' pitching made three third-inning runs the difference in their home opener, holding the Flames to three hits, all doubles.
Left fielder Noah Rabon, Right fielder Camden Troyer and first baseman Brian McClellin each had a double for the Flames.
Liberty drops to 3-1. Duke remains unbeaten 4-0.
