
3 Players Named to NFHCA All-Region Teams

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Three Liberty field hockey players – Reagan Underwood, Lou Combrinck and Tuti Dell Anna – were named to the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I All-South Region teams.
Underwood was tabbed to the first team, and Combrinck and Dell Anna earned second team recognition. Underwood receives her second career all-region award, while Combrinck and Dell Anna are both first-time honorees.
A total of 32 Lady Flames have been selected to the all-region teams in head coach Nikki Parsley-Blocker's eight years at the helm (2017-24).
Liberty finished the 2024 season with a 10-8 overall record and 4-3 BIG EAST mark. The Lady Flames ended the year ranked 18th in the final Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll and 20th in the NCAA Field Hockey RPI listing.
Division I teams are separated into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West. Each region honors up to 16 student-athletes on a first team and up to 16 student-athletes on a second team. The NFHCA Division I All-Region team announcement is first in a list of postseason accolades to come out over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year on Friday, followed by the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on Dec. 12, NFHCA All-American teams on Dec. 17, the NFHCA National Player of the Year on Dec. 19 and the NFHCA National Coaching Staff of the Year on Jan. 16.
Reagan Underwood (NFHCA All-South Region first team)
Underwood earns all-region honors for a second straight year. This is the first time she has garnered first team distinction after being named to the second team in 2023. The fifth-year senior midfielder received All-BIG EAST first team honors this fall and was tabbed to the NFHCA Division I Senior Team.
Underwood, a native of Sinking Spring, Pa. started all 18 games for Liberty and tallied one goal, five assists, seven points and one defensive save. She leaves the Liberty field hockey program as the program's all-time leader in career starts (97) and ranks eighth in school history with 28 career assists.
Lou Combrinck (NFHCA All-South Region second team)
Combrinck's first all-region honor comes on the heels of a breakout junior campaign for the midfielder/forward from Hillcrest, South Africa. An All-BIG EAST second team selection, Combrinck finished the year with career highs in goals (8), assists (6) and points (22). She ranked first on the Lady Flames in points and second in both goals and assists.
Combrinck earned two BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week awards this year (Sept. 17 and Oct. 22). She notched her first career three-goal game in a 9-0 home victory over Quinnipiac on Oct. 18. Combrinck scored Liberty's only goal in a 1-0 win over No. 4 Duke, Sept. 15. Combrinck tallied a career-best two assists to go along with a goal and four points in a 5-0 triumph over William & Mary (Sept. 13).
Tuti Dell Anna (NFHCA All-South Region second team)
Dell Anna, Liberty's top goal scorer in 2024, receives her first career all-region distinction after being named to the 2024 All-BIG EAST second team. The senior forward from Córdoba, Argentina finished the season with a team-best 10 goals, one assist and 21 points (second on team). Dell Anna was tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 8.
She scored two goals twice this year. The first time came in a 5-0 win over Appalachian State on Oct. 6, and the other occurrence was on Oct. 29 at James Madison. Dell Anna finished the year tied for 41st in the country in goals per game (0.56).
