
Liberty to Square Off with Incarnate Word to Open OVC Championship Sunday

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The No. 4 seed Liberty Flames will face the No. 5 seed Incarnate Word Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Men's Soccer Championship on Sunday at Ralph Korte Stadium in Edwardsville, Ill. The contest will be the second match of the afternoon. The winner will advance to play the No. 1 seed and tournament host SIUE in a semifinal match on Wednesday.
The match will be the second meeting between the two teams in a week and the third this season. Liberty (7-6-3, 5-3-2 OVC) and UIW (5-5-6, 3-2-5 OVC) tied 2-2 in Lynchburg this past Sunday. The Flames defeated the Cardinals 2-0 in San Antonio, Texas earlier this season.
