Liberty falls to 5-5 on the year and 1-2 in the BIG EAST. The Lady Flames have lost back-to-back games and four of their last five matches. Temple improves to 6-4 this season and 2-1 in the BIG EAST. This is the Owls' first win over Liberty since the Lady Flames joined the BIG EAST in 2016. Liberty entered the contest 12-0 against Temple since 2016 and 13-1 against the Owls all-time.

Turning Point
The Lady Flames and Owls each scored one goal in the opening frame, and Liberty generated six penalty corner chances. Temple exploded for four goals in the second half, including three in the final period, for the four-goal margin of victory.
Alize Maes scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at the 34:04 mark, firing a penalty corner shot into the left side for a 2-1 lead for the visitors. Just 26 seconds into the fourth period, Temple added to its lead, as Peyton Rieger scored on a rebound in front. At the 49:03 mark, the Owls went ahead 4-1 on Tess Muller's second goal of the day, this one coming as she knocked the ball in from near the left post on a penalty corner. Temple scored its fifth and final goal of the match at the 59:22 mark, with Peyton Rieger tallying her second goal of the day from in front.

This will be the ninth all-time regular season meeting between the Lady Flames and Mountaineers but first since 2015. Liberty holds a 7-1 edge in the all-time series.
