Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The culture is what brought me to Liberty. Right after my unofficial visit during my sophomore year of high school, I knew that Liberty was where I wanted to attend because of how well the players on the team treated me.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
One of my favorite pregame things is throwing a rugby ball around with my teammates and my coaches! I never played rugby before or knew what it was before college, but I love to throw one around now that I have been taught.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
I am inspired by the girls I give lessons to every summer. Watching them learn and develop as both players and people is so rewarding and they encourage me every time I see them. Their success is both rewarding for them and for me, and I work hard because I know those girls are watching me when I step onto that pitch.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Being a part of the overtime goal in the national championship semifinal is my most memorable athletic moment. Being a part of that moment was incredible and I still remember the feeling of joy while rushing towards my teammates in the corner of the field.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I picked two because it is my favorite number. My birthday is 2/2/02 and I have a twin sister, so there are two of us.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My father, Bill, played baseball at Kent State and spent time in the New York Yankees’ minor league system. My mother, Kim, played field hockey at North Carolina and was the team captain for the 1995 UNC team which won the NCAA title. My twin sister, Bryn, is a senior goalkeeper for American. My brother, Jacob, was a member of the cross country and track & field teams at Liberty for three years.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
I love getting dinner at Outback, usually steak and some sort of seafood, with a salad and a sweet potato. I always go there with my grandpa.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Instagram is the first app I check in the morning every day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love Musicals.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have a Weimaraner, named Sydney.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Hailey Cockrum, UMass Field Hockey Player.
What is your favorite possession and why?
A white noise machine from my childhood.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Let Me Be Your Star -by SMASH (duet with my sister).
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
A cruise to the Bahamas! I have fond memories from a cruise I went on when I was younger, and I would love to go on one again to see if the experience holds up a second time.
