
No. 10 Liberty Shuts Out Old Dominion 2-0 in BIG EAST Opener

LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 10 Liberty shut out visiting Old Dominion 2-0 in its 2023 BIG EAST Conference opener, Friday afternoon at the Liberty Field Hockey Field.
Tuti Dell Anna scored her first goal in a Liberty uniform, while senior Reagan Underwood put the exclamation mark on the victory with an insurance goal in the final minute of the contest. With the win, the Lady Flames bolster their overall record to 6-1 and BIG EAST mark to 1-0. Old Dominion slips to 2-4 on the year and 0-1 in conference play.
Liberty improves to 8-0 all-time in BIG EAST openers, including a 4-0 home mark. The Lady Flames (5-0) also stay unbeaten at home in 2023.
Lady Flames senior goalkeeper Azul Iritxity Irigoyen made five saves and recorded her 20th career shutout (third of the season).
