
Liberty Dominates Bellarmine 12-0 in ASUN Opener

Liberty opened ASUN play with a resounding 12-0 win at ASUN newcomer Bellarmine on Friday, getting plenty of offense from the bats in support of a two-hit shutout by Karlie Keeney.
Liberty (19-9, 1-0 ASUN) claimed victory in its first-ever meeting with Bellarmine (4-14, 0-4). The Knights have lost eight games in a row.

- Liberty broke open a scoreless game with a seven-run third inning, jump-started by Bishop's two-run homer. The Lady Flames later put the game away by scoring five times in the fifth, sealing the team's sixth run-rule win of the season.

- Keeney, a native of Providence, Ky., was pitching in her home state for the first time since finishing up a decorated high school career at Webster County High School.
