Student-Athlete Q&A

What was your experience like then having a sister who played here already, and then she graduated. then your dad being on the, the football coaching staff. What was the recruiting experience like or just the, the experience going from high school to get to here?
I've always really liked the women's soccer program here and I've always had like a feel for the culture and the coaching staff and how they like to coach their players really well and so it was easy for me to make this decision.

Was it an advantage being around the program and the school and kind of knowing what this place is about and knowing the coaches and seeing your sister go through it, was that kind of a unique advantage for somebody like you?
Yes, because I grew up like seeing her really loving Liberty and my dad already coaching here. But also it was easy for me to make the decision to come in early at 17 to, because I know what I was getting myself into. Whereas if I left, I know what I'm getting into when I come to Liberty.

When did you start playing soccer?
I started playing soccer around 7 years old.

Do you enjoy football?
I always enjoy watching the games and it's really entertaining.

Would you say that you're a casual fan, do you know it? Do you love it, or do you just like watching it?
I love it, I just watch my dad's games, but that's mostly it, and I get really into those games.

Any family members obviously your sister, but like tell me about family members that have played collegiately pro sports.
My mom played at Auburn. She was a goalkeeper, then she transferred to Southern Miss her junior year. My dad played college football.

Any military ties in your family?
my uncle was in the military.

Outside of soccer, what do you enjoy doing?
I like to bake. I like to read and I play a little bit of golf,

What was it like growing up in a house where Dad is gone a lot, he's on the road, he's at games, he's recruiting, how tight-knit did that make you and your sister? Your mom more close?
It definitely did. Throughout my life, we've probably moved 15 times. It was a little hard at first, like just moving areas that quickly. But once I got a little older, the durations of the time we spend in each place got a little longer. But I honestly always loved meeting new people and just like being on the go. Dad has been away for a good bit of time, but he always tries to make time and stuff.

What's kind of helped you through that? How have you made the most of it and enjoyed it?
Every time I moved, I switched soccer teams. So I mean, I loved like meeting new people that played soccer and like switching teams and just learning from different coaches, but my mom was a huge help and she's always been so supportive, like the whole family and everything that we've been trying to accomplish.

If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I chose the number 29 because it was the number my favorite player, Kylian Mbappé, wore early in his professional career at AC Monaco and PSG.
