LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty forward Halle Engle and defender Lauren Littleton have been selected to the 2026 Conference USA All-Academic team, the league office announced Friday. Engle is the only student-athlete to be selected a third consecutive season.
Engle sports a 4.0 GPA in her MBA after graduating with a 3.99 in her major of exercise science: therapeutic science. The fifth year athlete has also been selected to the CSC Academic All-District team twice and was selected to the VaSID Academic All-State team last season.
On the pitch, Engle currently leads the Lady Flames with six goals and 15 points (three assists). She has accounted for four game-winning goals and currently ranks within the top-10 in career game-winning goals with 12. She is also third in program history with 75 career points and 28 goals.
Littleton receives her first selection to a CUSA All-Academic team. She sports a 3.87 GPA in her major of biomedical sciences. The defender was also recognized for her studies last season on the CSC Academic All-District team and the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region third team.
The centerback has anchored Liberty's defense this season, which has allowed just a single goal in CUSA action. Liberty ranks No. 1 among Division I programs with 11 shutouts this season.
Both athletes have been instrumental in helping Liberty receive three consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Pinnacle Awards (2023-25). The recognition highlights programs that have excelled on the field, academically and through sportsmanship.

Liberty (13-2-2, 6-0-1 CUSA) wraps up the regular season at home against Missouri State (4-8-4, 1-3-3 CUSA) on Sunday at 1 p.m. from Osborne Stadium.
