You were playing overseas recently?
Yes, I was in the Dominican Republic playing with the Puerto Rican national team.

You said you're from Georgia. What's the connection to Puerto Rico? What was that experience like?
We had a connection to one of the coaches, and I got invited to go play at a tryout, basically. I went to the tryout, and then from then on, I just got called up. It was a great experience. Every time I'm with the national team, it's an amazing opportunity and a great experience. I love it every time. It's really cool.

How many times have you been now? How many games do you get to play in?
This most recent time was my fourth. Usually, it's like three games every camp, but it kind of just depends on the tournament. This time, I was in the Dominican Republic, but I have been to Puerto Rico with the team before, which is awesome.

Do you like traveling like that?
I do. It's definitely new. In the past year, I've gone to so many different countries that I really never thought I would, but it's been really cool.

Where have you been with the national team, and what's your favorite?
Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and then the Dominican Republic. I'd have to say Puerto Rico is my favorite.

How did you end up at Liberty? What's the experience been like here for you?
Really just through recruiting. My brother played soccer here, so that's how I kind of knew of Liberty University. There's really no place like it. Every time I'm here, I realize how blessed I am to be here because it's such a great place. Nothing else compares to Liberty.

When did you start playing?
I started playing soccer when I was three, very young. I grew up in a soccer family, so that was everything we did.

You mentioned your brother. Your parents played, too?
They both played in college at App State. My mom also played at Anderson University and then transferred to App State. She just played tennis there, but she played soccer at Anderson, too.

What do your parents do now? You mentioned your brother. Is that your only sibling?
I have two older brothers. One of them graduated from Liberty and now works for FCA. My other older brother plays soccer at the University of North Georgia.
My dad owns an indoor facility with soccer, spin, agility and all that kind of stuff. He also coaches at Oconee High School, a high school in Georgia. My mom has been a teacher, but she's not teaching anymore this year. She's just helping my dad with the business.

Did your dad coach you in high school?
Yeah, he was my coach. He coached me basically all my life. Here and there, I've had other coaches. In my last year before coming to Liberty, I had a different coach, but he was my first and longest. I had him forever.

Any similarities in Coach Wedemeyer and your dad and how they coach?
They are both very competitive, and they both really want to win, so that was a similarity. They're also both really big on just leaving it all out on the field and hard work. There's definitely a lot of similarities between them.

What about hobbies outside of soccer? What do you like to do?
I love shopping. I love hanging out with my family and my friends. If I have free time, that's usually what I'm doing. I like tanning in the summer.

Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents are my inspiration. They are the most hardworking, selfless, and thoughtful people I know. They show me what it looks like to keep Jesus at the center of my life and they encourage me to strengthen my relationship with the Lord every day.

What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable moment is winning in the last play of the World Cup Qualifier game with the u17 Puerto Rico National Team to send us into the next round of qualifiers.
