Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, March 8, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Flames baseball team begins an eight-game homestand today as Liberty welcomes No. 11 East Carolina to Lynchburg. Today's game gets underway at 4:05. Right-hander Cole Hertzler is on the mound for the Flames. You can hear it on www.LibertyFlames.com and the Flames mobile app. Air time is 3:30.
Conference USA play starts tonight for the Flames softball team. Liberty is at FIU for game one of a three-game set at six p.m. You can see it on ESPN+.
Only one game to go in the regular season for the Flames basketball teams. The Liberty men are at home Saturday for Senior Day when LU hosts Western Kentucky. Tipoff's at one o'clock. The Flames are trying to close out the regular season with a win and stay out of a potential 8/9 seed game at the conference tournament next week.
And the Lady Flames will play at Western Kentucky on Saturday at three o'clock. Liberty will either be the two or the three seed in next week's CUSA Championship.
