
Liberty Returns to the Course at the Bryan Bros Collegiate

Following their first regular-season victory since 2021, Liberty will start its third of four fall events on Monday at the Bryan Bros Collegiate.
The South Carolina hosted event, now in its second year of existence, returns to the Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C.
Liberty played in the inaugural event last fall, finishing in eighth place out of 15 teams with a 4-over par 856 (287-282-287).
LSU won the event with a victorious score of 35-under par 817 (273-270-274), finishing three shots clear of Charlotte's 32-under par 820 (271-275-274).
Liberty has two returning players who competed in the 2025 event. Michael Lugiano, who finished in 23rd place with a 2-under par 211 (71-66-74) and Silas Haarer, who finished tied for 53rd place with a 6-over par 219 (72-75-72).
Both Flames played a part in Liberty's recent team victory. The Flames posted a winning score of 15-under par 837 (274-280-283) at the Bearcat Invitational, Sept. 14-15, at the Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Liberty finished three shots ahead of TCU's 12-under par 840 (283-274-283) and five shots clear of tournament host Cincinnati's 10-under par 842 (288-278-276).
Lugiano (66-69-69) led the Flames at the event, sharing first place with TCU's Cameron Kuchar (68-67-69) with both golfers carding a 9-under par 204.
This year's 16-team field includes seven teams who finished the 2025-26 season ranked inside the top 50 national rankings: LSU (No. 7), Arkansas (No. 8), Ole Miss (No. 12), Clemson (No. 31), Louisville (No. 34), South Carolina (No. 41) and Charleston (No. 47).
Round 1 of the Bryan Bros Collegiate gets underway on Monday at 8 a.m. ET with the Flames going off the No. 1 tee (par 4, 325 yards), starting at 9 a.m.
The tournament will feature 36 holes of continuous play on Monday, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
